Ready for the Vëlosummer 2022 edition?

Published on 07.07.2022

In light of the great success of previous editions of the Vëlosummer scheme and the positive feedback received from municipalities and participants alike, a 3rd edition is set to run from 30th July to 28th August 2022.

Vëlosummer 2022 will involve 56 municipalities and offer eleven cycle tourism routes spanning over 450 kilometres of cycling routes, much to the delight of cycling enthusiasts young and old alike. This latest edition will offer 5 new routes not included in 2021 and cover some 120km of routes reserved for cyclists, 90% of which will be reserved for 1 or 2 weekends only.
The participating municipalities, five regional tourist offices (ORTs) and local cycling clubs will be organising various events along the routes. It will also be an opportunity to try out the tools available to help you organise your Vëlosummer adventures as best you can thanks to initiatives such as Move we carry (luggage transport), bed+bike (accommodation options suitable for bikes) and the various cycle hire options available.
What a great way to discover or rediscover the magnificent landscapes that the Grand Duchy has to offer!
And here comes the ACL comes, giving its members the option of hiring not only electric bikes but also electric cargo bikes so that they can enjoy the routes and paths with their families.
Cool, huh? So get in touch with ACL Clubmobil now or book your electric bike or cargo bike via our website. We’ll even deliver it to the address of your choice on request!
Of course, the ACL is always there for you if you need help, regardless of your means of transport, because Bike Assistance is just one of the services included in your ACL membership. Don't drive a motor vehicle? Not an ACL member? No problem - the ACL has you covered, too, since Bike Assistance is also available independently of the ACL card.
You can find all of the details on the Vëlosummer 2022 website and the map below.

Remember, too, that road safety rules apply even on stretches of road that are closed to motorised traffic, so take care and check ACL Info-Traffic before you set off to find out everything you need to know about traffic conditions!

Happy cycling, with the ACL!
