Our vision of active social responsibility
At Automobile Club du Luxembourg (ACL), we believe that true success is measured by the positive impact we have on society, the environment and the economy. Our mission is not limited to our internal operations: we want to inspire, support and work with our members, suppliers and partners to build a sustainable and responsible future.
A global and committed approach
Our CSR initiatives are based on three key areas:
• Social: promoting well-being, inclusion, ethics and shared responsibility with our employees, members and partners.
• Environment: reducing our environmental footprint through concrete and educational actions to challenge our attitudes and habits regarding the resources available and improve our operational management.
• Economic: applying responsible and sustainable management of our activities to support innovation and fairness.
At the heart of these three axes is ethics, to ensure transparent and respectful practices in all our interactions, both internally and externally.
Through these commitments, we actively contribute to sustainable change while remaining true to our core values.
This is reflected in concrete actions: training programmes that inspire and motivate, events that raise awareness and bring people together, and initiatives that mobilise.
Social commitment
Training and workshops: creation of an internal academy to train and develop our employees and position ACL with external partners in certain areas of expertise. Be it first aid in connection with mobility, dealing with relationships between drivers on the road, project management, collective intelligence or training managers to raise awareness of CSR issues.
Campaigns and awareness: respect for each other and our members, raising awareness of prejudices or intergenerational work, invisible disabilities, video campaign on prejudices, creation of ACL charity calendars (October 2024).
Events: World Cleanup Day, charity event with the HMC league, Diversity Day, International Women’s Rights Day, Job-Dag for the disabled.
Health and well-being: activities on cancer in the workplace (Pink October and Blue November), workshop on ‘Dealing with cancer in the workplace’, introduction of FlexTime flexible working time management, intergenerational workshop.
HR management: optimisation of the recruitment process, implementation of a meeting culture to increase efficiency in day-to-day work, introduction of Flex+, a working time management system tailored to the department, workshops on collective intelligence, work on the employer brand, taking on interns with disabilities.
Environmental commitment
Waste management and recycling: introduction of a waste management plan, holiday recycling campaign, installation of recycling bins.
Resource conservation: replacement of disposable plastic cups with reusable alternatives, installation of water dispensers, scanning to reduce paper consumption.
Awareness-raising and education: campaigns on environmental topics for employees and members, Eco-Corner in the ACL SHOP and Green Coffee Corner for employees, awareness-raising video ‘Every gesture counts’, creation of information sheets on recycling.
Reducing emissions: introducing best practices to reduce CO2 emissions, promoting electric mobility.
Certification: preparation for ISO 14001 and ISO 26000, preparation for FIA Sustainability accreditation.
Economic engagement
Responsible procurement: implementation of a sustainable procurement policy.
Digital transformation: implementation of an ERP system in the finance department and in member administration; use of a digital learning and development tool for training programmes; digitisation of all processes over three years; raising awareness of the proper use of IT tools to limit environmental impact.
Product innovation: elimination of eFleet card printing for companies; reduction of physical card printing through automated emails.
