Five good reasons to take part in the ACL Oldtimermaart

The Oldtimermaart is an annual event for lovers of old cars. It is open to all ACL members who want to sell a car that is at least 20 years old, but also to anyone who wants to buy a historic vehicle. Visit us on 28 September 2024 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Bartringen on the ACL grounds!

If you want to sell your classic car, become an owner or simply admire older vehicles, the Oldtimermaart is the right place for you. Not sure whether it’s worth visiting the ACL in Bartringen on 28 September? Here are five good reasons why you should definitely be there:

  1. A trusting environment
With this event, the ACL brings together lovers of beautiful old cars. Whether you have only recently become interested in classic cars or have been doing so for years: The Oldtimermaart is a place where you can meet and exchange ideas in an open, trusting and pleasant environment. Every year, more than 60 old cars are exhibited, waiting for a buyer to share the next chapter of their history with them.
  2. A transparent event
The ACL is not involved in the negotiations or transactions between buyers and sellers. The ACL receives no sales commission and no brokerage fees are charged. The club’s sole aim is to support the community of owners (and future owners) of historic vehicles. In 2023, this community included around 12,200 classic cars and 15,700 modern classics in Luxembourg.
  3. Benefit from the expertise of ACL employees
ACL experts will be on hand to give advice and answer your questions – whether you are looking to sell, buy or are simply curious. Although not compulsory, a specialised classic car check is highly recommended to ensure a confident and transparent purchase for potential buyers. This vehicle diagnosis can be carried out by appointment before or after the ACL Oldtimermaart.
  4. A sociable day
Participants and visitors will not only be surrounded by beautiful cars, but will also be able to discover the ACL grounds in Bartringen. The ACL will be offering catering options for the occasion. Several food trucks will be on site. Throughout the day, you can chat with the owners of the cars for sale, learn about their history and certainly pick up an interesting anecdote or two.
  5. Free entry and free registration for the sale
Offering a car for sale is free of charge if you are a member of the ACL. For organisational reasons, prior registration is required by 27 September at 12 noon. A fee will be charged for traders and clubs.
Admission is free for buyers and visitors. Of course, there is no obligation to buy. Just come along and be mesmerised by the cars from another era.
