Speed limits on motorways for caravans and trailers

Observing the speed limits is essential to ensure good control of the vehicle, reduce the risk of accidents and comply with road safety rules. You should also regularly check the condition of the trailer or caravan, especially the tyres and braking systems, in order to travel safely.

The fines for speeding can be very expensive. It is therefore very important that you know the applicable speed limits.

Our map cannot show the speed limits on motorways in all countries.

Here are the limits of some countries as a supplement:

  • Luxembourg: 90 km/h
  • Malta: 100 km/h
  • Scotland: 97 km/h
  • Slovenia: 80 km/h
  • Kosovo: 80 km/h
  • Macedonia: 80 km/h
  • Cyprus: 100 km/h
  • Liechtenstein: 80 km/h

Attention!
Even though there is no special speed limit for caravans in Belgium, it is recommended that you drive at 90 km/h.
