Founded in 1946, the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois is now one of the main economic players in the Grand Duchy, as a backbone of national and cross-border public transport. Its shareholders are the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (94%), Belgium (4%) and France (2%).
